So sorry for the sad loss of Deni. We go back a long long way. Working with Deni were the happiest days of my life. He could turn a machine inside out when we were chasing a hind to catch. It was very rare for one to beat us
to the bush. We took our work very seriously, but Deni could still make it fun. A truly fine gentleman, proud and loving husband and father. Rest in peace old mate.
Lots of Luv Jacqui

So sad to hear the news . ...I don´t know where to begin to express what an incredible person Denis was . As a child, I clearly remember the huge anticipatory excitement of early morning starts, waiting for the call between you and Dad, was the weather right to fly , sitting between you and Dad Denis, flying from farm to farm across Hawkes Bay. Its always been a huge privilege to even have spent a small bit of time around what you would do .The unbelievable daily spectacle of watching you fly incredible manoeuvres that most people could only imagine in the stunning HB countryside, the hi jinks you and Dad got up to which were so many and so unbelievable .No doubt there are literally thousands of people with interesting stories to tell about Denis . You were truly a childhood hero to Ian and I with your amazing skills, your eternal positivity ....and your unique laugh. Your incredible courage to come back more than once from near death and career threatening injuries. Your world class natural flying intelligence, sought after in far away countries and pioneering life saving rescue initiatives that spawned what we have now in NZ. There are too many stories and I only know a few. You were a truly remarkable person, New Zealander , gentleman, character and a very nice man in life Denis. Our thoughts are with Jacqui, Dawn -Lee, Wayne and Lorreen and all your family. And your legend lives on forever Denis.
