Moragh CAMERON Obituary

CAMERON, Moragh Anne (Moi). After a long illness, died in her home at age 70 on 14/01/2025. Dearly loved mother of Sam; Nana to Cora and beautiful sister to Jennifer, Stuart, Georgina and Judith. The funeral service will be held in Evans Chapel, Ormond Rd at 2pm on Tuesday 20th January followed by private cremation. Evans Funeral Service Ltd FDANZ www.evansfuneral.co.nz

I met Moi at a Potae weaving course held at REAP, we instantly became friends. Moi was very generous with her time and sharing what she had learnt on her own raranga journey, she taught me how to read patterns from the Raranga Whakairo book and how to extract muka using the blade of a knife, because she couldn't be bothered getting her mussel shell. Moi lived an interesting life, she talked about her family, film sets with Lee and overseas travel, Nanny Whai, her bestie Fiona but she mainly spoke about her boy Sam.
I will miss our chats my lovely friend.
