COLLIER, Puti Puti Ramari. (nee Walker). Passed away 25 August 2025, surrounded by whanau. She was the wife of Nehe (Dec) and mother of Hilton Eruera, Walter Terrence (Terry - Dec) and Rimini, John Hayes (Hone) and Jules, Charles Benjamin and Sarah, and Ripeka Whakaarorangi and Henare and Weitini and Grace. Known to most as Marie, she was the daughter of John Hayes and Ripeka Taheru (nee Hughes) Walker and sister of Ramari Kerenapu (Rangi), Herbert Walter Hughes (Walter) , George Niwa Wi Hekopa, Marge and Charles Benjamin (all dec) and William Lytton (Bill) and Hope. She was a loved and cherished Nan to her many mokopuna, including those who attended her beloved Te Kohanga Reo o Te Whanau a Hinetapora. A service for Marie will be held Tuesday 26 August at 10am at Evans Funeral Home before she is returned to Waiomatatini Marae where she will remain until her nehu on Thursday 28 August at 1.30pm.
