It may be rather late but I have to say something re the death of Adrian. He was the youngest son of Henry Burr, principal of Kaponga Primary Taranaki. He was younger than I but memories of this year's day boy are alive. One always knew where Adrian was because of his outgoing attitude to everything that happened around the school. He often stood like a stork with one leg balanced at the knee on his other leg. Maybe he had one leg longer than the other. He was friends with the guys who worked across the road at the electricity depot. He was a pest at the netball courts where his older brother Alwyn played at weekend matches. If Akwyn served a good ball to the opposition, Adrian would pick up the loose ball and run away with It, much to the annoyance of Adrian. My fond memory is of Adrian at the school fancy dress ball. He came dressed as Dick Whittington's cat, a black velvet coat and a tail, which bounced around and he walked. Mrs Burr must have put wire in that tail and the kids had great fun playing with that tail. His Dad Henry was a great teacher. The family moved to Napier in the late 1950s. Anne (Izett) Glogowski. In the intervening years, I lost track of Nigel and Cynthia who was the cutest girl. H

Dear Adrian, what a beautiful, joyous spirit of a person you were. It was such fun having you as a neighbour back in McMahons Point in the 80s, and the start of a lovely connectino with you and Pamela and Geoffrey. I am thinking of you and sending loads of love and light...Nicolette
