DUNLOP, Beverley Frances (Bev). 1935 - 2023 Passed away suddenly after a short illness. Bev was a well known author who published many children's stories and school journals, notably Dolphin Boy and Poetry Girl. Much loved wife of the late John. Loved aunty of her nieces and nephews, and friend to many. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA would be appreciated and can be made online at www. spca.nz/donate A service to celebrate Bev's life will be held at the Sugar Loaf Chapel of Howard & Gannon Funerals, cnr Lee Road and Gloucester Street, Taradale, Napier on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 2pm. Followed by a private cremation. Messages to the 'Dunlop Family', C/o PO Box 7001, Taradale, Napier 4141.

It is with great sadness to hear the lost of a treasured neighbor and friend. Bev was a kind and special person, who always invited me in for a cuppa. Condolences to the family. Beverley will be greatly missed

Bev and John were such good friends of my parents, Janet and Graeme Prisk. My life, particularly my childhood is full of memories of Bev, her cats, Pedro the Chihuahua. As a 'naughty' teenager I was sent to stay with her and John, I think she led me more astray. One of my fondest memories is Bev and my Mum, not long before John passed, in the back seat of my car giggling and carrying on like a couple of little school girls reminiscing about their lives. I'm so very saddened at her loss and will miss our 'messenger' chats. Rest In Peace in John's arms Bev, you so deserve to. Love you.
