Brian MCGURK Obituary

McGURK, Brian McGregor. 02.03.1931 - 26.01.2026 Died peacefully on Monday with his children at his side at the Hastings Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Beloved Husband of the Late Averill. Loved Father and Father-in-law of Peter and Marina, Tony and Jen, Susan and Tim. Treasured Grandfather of Johanna, Tim, Dominic, Jozef, Liam, Petra, William, Fern and Great Grandfather of Frankie, Ludo, Jack, Bessie, Xavier, Grace and River. A Rosary will be held at Brian's home on Friday the 30th of January at 7pm. A requiem mass for Brian will be held at 11am on Saturday 31st January at St Peter Chanel Church, Gordon Rd, Raureka, Hastings. Followed by his cremation. In lieu of flowers donation to Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Our love to Susan, Tony, Peter and families.
Brian, quietly spoken, quiet sense of humour, so much knowledge, so very talented with his woodworking skills. He loved to share the achievements of his children and grandchildren, and share fond memories of Averill.
Such a special man. We will really miss Uncle Brian.

My condolences to you on the passing of Brian.
He made my cue for me in 1996 and although people have tried to talk me into buying a 'newer model, I have no need to because this one is still perfect.
