Colin STUART Obituary

STUART, Colin Robert. 14 April 1941 - 27 November 2024 Beloved husband for 59 years of the late Pat, and cherished father of Mark and Melanie, and Rachel and Quentin. Loved Poppa of Nicholas, Benjamin, Daniel, and Natalie. Respected brother, uncle and friend. Colin passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his family at his home, with remarkable courage. Colin was the head of the design office at Works Consultancy when I knew him. He was a no nonsense professional, and often feared because of it. This belied a love for the things he valued outside the office; his family and his trout fishing. At a team building session I was paired with him and one other and when answering a question on the things he valued most it was family. He spoke in glowing terms about enjoying childrens milestones and family generally. It showed a side many did not often see. I enjoyed the trust he put in me when I worked for him as a junior non-engineer, and the learning from a crafty contract manager and good engineer. Vale Colin.
