I met Francie through Jayne, & Bill Hurrey. She has been a true treasure to their family. I then met Mark through Jayne & funnily enough through our son-in-law´s family - the McKenzies. She had a delightful sense of humour and enjoyed conversing knowledgeably about all manner of topics. She will certainly leave a big gap in everyone´s lives she touched, least of all her family. Our thoughts are with you all.

Dear Francie shared with me some time ago that she and her husband met at the Farmers Co-op Stratfort, Taranaki, in the office where they both worked. I worked at Farmers Co-op New Plymouth, but never met her. Twelve years ago my husband and I moved to Napier where i joined a knitting group, where I met Francie. This group still meets, and Francie and I were the only original members. She talked about coming back when she was stronger. More recently, Francie has looked forward to the weekends when Stephen would drive her to the beach and take her op shopping. She also looked forward to taking off to Australia to be with the boys there, and was hoping to go again this coming Easter. Francie was kind, caring, and always grateful for all who visited and those who looked after. I am missing you terribly Francie and our visits. With much love, Glenys Hipgrave
