ROIL, Ivan Bruce (Ivan). On 20th September, 2025 at Mary Doyle Rest Home, Aged 81 Years. Loved husband of Margaret (Deceased). Father and father-in- law of Kerry and Bea, Byron and Fiona, Damian and Sarah. Loved grandfather of Iven, Henry, Charlie, Jonty, Georgia, Brooke, Hannah, Ashley, and Mackenzie. A special thanks to the staff at Mary Doyle Rest Home for their patience and ongoing care. The burial at Havelock North Cemetery will take place for family and friends on Wednesday, the 24th of September, 2025 at 2:00 PM and/or join us for refreshments at Havelock Club, Campbell Street, Havelock North from 3pm. Condolences to Ivan and Margaret´s family. From rugby days,family and H.N.Club we enjoyed many a laugh.Unfortunately unable to attend Ivan´s farewell,but we´ll have `one´ for him. RIP.

Dear Kerry, Bea, Byron, Fiona, Damien, Sarah, I was in the Hastings hospital when your Father was in there, opposite me, we had a lot of laughs, I have visited him several times at Mary Doyles, found him very cheerful and contented. Ivan and Margaret were great supporters of the Waimarama Surf Club when Kerry, Byron and Damian formed a strong Junior Boat crew, with the late Dave Lawry as their Sweep. Their Golden Queen peach sales on Havelock Road were legendary and helped with travel costs. RIP Ivan.
