Jasper NOWELL-USTICKE Obituary

NOWELL-USTICKE, Jasper de Visme. Jasper passed away peacefully at HB Regional Hospital on 29 September 2025, aged 89 years. Dearly loved and treasured husband of Ruth for 62 years. Beloved Dad and father-in-law of Brenda and Murray, Vanessa and Darren, Wendy, and Andrea (deceased). Adored Poppa of Amy, David, Monique, Bella, and Ethan. In accordance with Jasper's wishes, a private cremation has been held. Messages to the Nowell-Usticke Family, C/o PO Box 439, Napier 4140.

My sincere condolences to Ruth and family.
I was the Shell tanker driver who delivered the fuel for the farm in the 1970´s
Also had the privilege to control the possum population on the farm.
Really enjoyed the time spent with him.
A true character indeed.

What some didn't know was this man was a great Educator whilst speaking from his experiences. Believe me there were lots of experiences. I could sit in that Lada four wheel drive and listen to him for ages. Loved doing the lambing beat with him, always a funny moment mixed up with a bit of chaos. Missed!
