Margaret HARDIE Obituary

HARDIE, Margaret Ann, (Ann) nee Berntsen. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday 11th November 2025. Dearly loved wife of the late John. Loved Mother and Mother-in- law of Janice and Donald, Andrew and Helen, Philip and Sharyn, Edward and Angeline. Adored Nan of her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A service for Ann will be held at St John the Baptist Anglican Church, High Street, Dannevirke on Saturday 15th November at 1.00pm followed by private cremation.

My heartfelt condolences go out to you all, Janice,Andrew,Philip and Edward, on the loss of your dear Mother ,Ann.I was saddened to hear the news this morning from my brother.Though I found out too late to attend her funeral ,I am with you "in spirit",sitting here in Napier saying a prayer for her dear departed soul & having fond memories of those times we went, as children, to birthday parties at your lovely homestead up on the Smith rd hill,Dannevirke .I used to be in awe of that long driveway and the lovely garden with a tennis court ,funnily enough my husband & I have recently taken Tennis up as a sport in our "mature years".I will think of Ann when we play & whenever I garden . May she RIP
