Margaret HOBAN Obituary

HOBAN, Sister Margaret RNDM (formerly Sister Mary Peter Chanel). On Monday 29th September 2025, Margaret died peacefully in Nazareth Care. A dearly loved Sister of the Sisters of our Lady of the Missions, she was a blessing to her RNDM sisters, her family and her friends. She will be remembered with gratitude and affection. May she rest in peace. Special thanks to the Sisters and Staff of Nazareth Care and to all those who lovingly supported her over the past eight years. Livestream of Mass is available via johnrhind.co.nz on Margaret's notice in upcoming funerals. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Nazareth Care Chapel, 220 Brougham St Christchurch on Friday, 3rd October at 1.00 pm followed by burial at the Avonhead Park Cemetery, Hawthornden Road.

HOBAN, Margaret Mary Sister Margaret RNDM. Margaret passed away peacefully, at Nazareth House, Christchurch at 6.00am on Monday, September 29th 2025. Margaret was the beloved eldest daughter of the late William and Margaret Hoban. She was the treasured sister, sister-in-law, aunt and great aunt of, Sister Rosalene (RIP September 13th 2025), Philomena, Sister Aroha (Missionary of Charity, Sri Lanka), Patrick and Judith Hoban, Victoria Hoban, Katherine, Quintin and Lorna Boyd, James, Maria, Alice and William Hoban. Her family wish to acknowledge all who cared for Margaret and supported her and her family, in recent times, particularly the Mission Sisters, and the wonderful Team at Nazareth House. Requiescat in Pace. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Nazareth Chapel, 220 Brougham Street, Christchurch on Friday, October 3rd at 1.00pm.
