DOWNES, Marie Catherine (Catherine). Peacefully, on 12 August 2025 at Summerset Palms Retirement Village, Te Awa, Napier. Previously of Patoka and Taradale. Aged 101 years. Loved wife of the late Harold Downes, mother of Peter, Alan, and Celia, grandmother of Nicholas, and Alistair, great grandmother of Elliot, and Felix. Grateful thanks to all the Care Centre staff at Summerset Palms Retirement Village. As per Catherine's wishes, a cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Catherine will be held at the Sugar Loaf Chapel, cnr Lee Road and Gloucester St, Taradale, Napier on Friday 22 August 2025 at 11 am.
