Maureen ADLINGTON Obituary

ADLINGTON, Maureen May. Peacefully at home on Thursday evening, 16th January 2025. Aged 79 years. Loved wife and mate of Roy. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Brenda and Blue, the late Mark, Tony and Shona, Murray and Sarah. Adored grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother to all her grandchildren. A service for Maureen will be held at the Kowhai Chapel, 51 Denmark Street, Dannevirke on Wednesday 22nd January at 1.30pm followed by a private cremation.

I have wonderful memories of Maureen as a teacher at Dannevirke North School. She was always so measured, patient anf controlled. A superb teacher. I always enjoyed her company and that of Roy and our chats about rugby. Deepest sympathy to the family at this sad time for you all.

So sorry to read of Maureen´s passing. She was such a fantastic infant teacher, so quiet but had all the kids under total control. Also many memories of her on our golden oldies rugby trips, especially the one to Sydney. Great times. My deepest sympathy to you all.
