Michael TAYLOR Obituary

TAYLOR, Brother Michael (Jimmy). Passed away on 2 November 2025, aged 96 years. Marist Brother for 75 years. Dearly loved son of Joe and Lulla Taylor (deceased). Much loved brother of Pat and Doug McInnes, Helen and Charlie Phillips, Colleen and Bryant Walters, Fr Alex Taylor (all deceased), Rosalind and Roger Braid. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart College Chapel, 250 West Tamaki Road, Auckland on 8 November 2025 at 10.30am.

Brother Michael Taylor, Honorary Old Boy.
Renowned teacher, rugby and cricket coach.
Thank you Brother for the guidance you gave so many of us at Sacred Heart College.
You had a special way of communicating with boys and giving us the values for life after school.
At reunions you always remembered at least one good point about an Old Boy, even if he was not a good student at school.
You were one in a million and loved by so many of us.
You have finally pulled stumps and kicked your last goal.
Rest in peace.

Such a good man and tutor at College. We saw eye to eye at the end of my time there in '71, something that I very much appreciated and respected from this fair minded and understanding teacher. Treasured memories, may he rest in peace, God bless him.
