FRANCO, Paul Thomas. Passed away peacefully on Friday September 13, 2024 at the Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital surrounded by family. Aged 95 years. Former husband of the late Frances (nee Peat - Feilding). Adored Dad and father-in-law of Julianne and Stephen Lindsay, Leonard (deceased) and Jenny Franco, Murray Franco, Catherine Franco, Shaun Barrett, and Susan and Jamie Marett. Much loved Grandad of Matthew, Anna, Benjamin, Katie, Richard, Mikayla, Thomas and all known partners. Cherished (Great) Grandad of five. A special thank you to all those who cared for Paul at the Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital. A service to celebrate Paul's life will be held at the Sugar Loaf Chapel of Howard & Gannon Funerals, Corner of Lee Road and Gloucester Street, Taradale, Napier on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Will miss your visits to Feilding. A wonderful Boss and friend of my brother also passed, Arnold Curtis. Paul had a team who helped with the window and inside displays and advertising work at the well known John Cobbe & Co Department Store, Feilding, where Arnold joined the staff before Paul left in 1958 to join Westerman's Department Store in Hastings. Paul has been mentioned in the latest 'The Manawatu Journal of History' 2024 issue No.20. Also an amazing model maker, you will be sorely missed Paul and well done you 95 years of age.
