Anna, Bindy, Mandy and Willy our thoughts are with you all at this time. What a legacy your dad leaves behind - he made your home very welcoming when the Gibbs family visited. Pete, Beth and Betty were great mates to Bogey and Bridget, and they had fantastic times together and remained dear friends for 80 years or more. Sorry Dors and I cannot be with you at St Peters today - but we will be there is spirit. Dors and Andrew Gibbs

What a lovely, understated and much loved gentleman the family have lost. I met him as a teenager and remember his genuine warmth, kindness and authenticity but also his strength in dealing with the hand life dealt him. I know Pete will be sorely missed and offer my sincere condolences at the loss of your lovely Dad, Stepfather and Grandfather.

My Mother (Paula Dormer) & I only met Peter when he joined Reeve House...Mary Doyle. A lovely, friendly man to talk to...a real gentleman. Mum was inspired by his presence & chats about Waipawa & its people.
