Richard INDER Obituary

INDER, Richard John (John). On 9 January 2022 unexpectedly, on holiday at Opito Bay, Coromandel. Aged 76 years. Loved and cherished husband of Joye for 50 years. Much loved father of Hillary and Wilf, Cameron and Nicola, Frances and Tom. Treasured Grandad of Mackenzie and Keely; Evelyn, Austin and Harry. Loved brother of Robert (deceased) and Adrienne, Ken and Karyn. "Spread your wings as you go and when God takes you back, we'll say 'Hallelujah, you're home" A celebration of John's life will be held at Central Baptist, 33 Charlemont Street, Hamilton on Friday, 14 January 2022 at 11am followed by his burial at Whatawhata Cemetery. I couldn´t believe it when learning of John´s passing. Great memories from our road trip up North in the Mini. Can´t believe time has gone so quickly. To cousin Joye, my heart goes out to you but you will always have the wonderful memories spent with your soulmate and be happy in the knowledge he is with his Lord, and will be watching over you and the children until you meet again in his presence.

An unexpected phone call from cousin Robin Mann advised me of your sad loss.
I remember John only from a short visit to your home in Taupo prior to the move to Raglan.
As a child I have a small recollection of visiting the Inder family with my parents Bert & Olive.
I enjoyed the contribution John made to the documentary on the sinking of the " Waiarapa " when it struck Miner's Head on Great Barrier island, on which our grandfather was 4th mate.
