POLLARD, Richard Anthony (Dick). Passed away peacefully on 27 August 2024 on his 90th birthday at the HB Hospital. Beloved husband of Mary for 65 years, father to Eamon, Niall, Dermot, Kieran and Sean (dc). Grandfather to Elizabeth Kenny and Michael Pollard, and great-grandfather to Zoe Kenny. A special thank you to the dedicated medical and support staff at Ward B3. A celebration of Dick's life will begin with Vigil on Monday, 2 September at 5pm followed by a Requiem Mass on Tuesday, 3 September at 11am, both services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 425 Heretaunga Street East, Hastings. Dick asked for donations to Cranford Hospice instead of flowers, these may be left at the service. Dick was a special friend to all and will be remembered as a great family man, popular radio host, chatty plumbers mate at Tomoana works and painter extraordinaire.
