Samuel STEWART Obituary

STEWART, Samuel David. Known for his big smile, friendly waves and big thumbs up all around Hawkes Bay. Also known as the 'big friendly giant', Sam will be sorely missed by his mother Barbara, and his brothers Quentin, Luke and Daniel, his niece Lexie, nephew Tyler, his sister-in-law Ilka and his mate Sophie, as well as everyone else who knew him. A service for Sam will be held in the Beth Shan Chapel, 371 Gloucester Street, Taradale on Friday, August 4 at 1.30pm.

Sam was a popular team mate in Special Olympics Hawke's Bay and we are so sad to hear of his death. He was always cheerful, positive and encouraging to others. Our sincere condolences go out to Eddie and the rest of his family.

Sam was one of the kindest people I know. He always had a big smile for everyone. I remember when he 1st moved here he was so quiet it was beautiful to watch him grow and become more independent as his confidence grew. I remember attending a celebration of his at 10 pin bowling he was so proud. It was a real privilege to know Sam. He will really be missed by all who knew him
