Shona EDE Obituary

EDE, Shona Frances (nee Duncan). Passed away peacefully on January 24th, 2025 at Hastings Hospital surrounded by family. Loved mother of Phillip (deceased), Christine, Alec, Russell & Justyn. Loved sister of Ian (deceased) & Ross. Loved so much by all her grandchildren, great-granchildren, nieces & nephews. Special acknowledgement to the staff of ward 2 at the Hastings Hospital for her wonderful care. A service to celebrate Shona's life will be held at St Andrews Church, 300 Market Street, Hastings at 1pm on Thursday 30 January, 2025. We invite you to bring flowers from your garden to place on her casket. Messages for the Ede family, C/- PO Box 967, Hastings.

Another lovely funny lady gone out of our lives. Oh we had some great times at Norton Rd growing up. My mum Barbara and Shona were friends and all I remember are great fun times. Condolences to Chrissy, Alex and Russell - she´s at peace and with Phillip now. Sorry I couldn´t make it to funeral today - I have a bad throat and didn´t want to spread it just incase it´s Covid. Love to you all

So very saddened to hear of Shona's passing. I haven't seen her in a few years, but remember her as being an extremely fun lady back in the early/mid 2000s, with our mutual friend Carol.

Condolences to Shona,s family such a lovely lady.May you feel her loving arms around you in love an comfort.I have lovely memories of us all at the river swimming an my late Husband lost his false teeth, we crossed paths many times an she always mentioned trying to find them.She was a lovely lady may she rest in the arms of the Angels gone but never forgotten.
