Dear Maggie and family, I was so sorry to hear the news of Terry. I shared a flat with Terry and Mark in London when we all played for Brondesbury cricket club. Terry was a wonderful person, always thinking of others and with such a great sense of humour. Such great memories. My thoughts are with you all. Brian

I started my cricket umpiring in 1982/83 and my 3rd game was the local derby between Johnsonville & Onslow at Alex Moore. I was at square leg for the first over and this very friendly Johnsonville fielder introduced himself to me. "I'm Terry Horne, what is your name", he said. We had a great chat, between deliveries of course, with Terry showing a great interest in my cricketing past because he did not know me but I knew who he was. If only all players were as friendly and considerate as Terry, we might have more people willing to become umpires. I am about to start my 38th season umpiring but always remember Terry's kind words. RIP, Terry.

Dear Maggie, Karen and I were so sorry to hear the news. He was such a lovely man but you don't need us to tell you that.
Such great times Terry , Brian and I had when we shared a flat together in London, times we will never forget. Friends here in England have been posting some wonderful comments about him. More recently it was terrific to see you both when last you were here.
Our thoughts and love are with you now and always
