Go well Catherine!
One of the most delightful, warm, clever & extremely funny lights has been extinguished, but not the memories which will always make me smile.

Catherine was a bright light of friendship at St Philomena’s College Dunedin ,in the classroom ,on the basketball court but most of all on the Debating Forum.
Her mastery of language shone through and entertained her classmates ,later her listeners and viewers so admirably.
Rest peacefully,Elaine

Cath was a class mate of mine at St Philomena's College, Dunedin. Cathy and I and one other student were the only ones to continue on at St Phils to complete five years of secondary education. What I remember most was Cath's good humour, her cheerful personality and her great skill as a public speaker. She was a gifted student and went on to contribute much to society. I send my sympathy to her family. She was a person with unique gifts. She will be sorely missed. Yours in sympathy, Moya Smith

We are so sorry to hear about the sad passing of Catherine, you were one of our best customers and we absolutely loved serving you here at Chambers in Ponsonby, dressing your gorgeous grandchildren when they were little and wrapping all those foaming soaps for your dear friends. I also had the privilege of being your receptionist back in Parnell alongside your wonderful friends at Great Pacific Entertainment. It was a a great pleasure knowing you and you always left a sparkle in our day, hope heaven just got a whole lot brighter xxx

I had the pleasure of working with Cath when I was at the Cancer Society. We did 7 Daffodil Days and 3 Relay for Life campaigns. it was fun going with Cath to various radio and Television stations getting daffodils placed and raising awareness. Cath was the best and was great to see how highly respected she was. RIP Cath

RIP Cathy. Happy memories of her days phoning me as "Ainsley of Pakuranga" on 1ZB's 9-12 Show in the 1970's. A beautiful person in all respects and full of the joy of life. Condolences to her loved ones.

We treasured so much about her and were honoured to be her friends. We will remember her as always worth hearing, always happy to listen, a sharer of excellent advice and an even better gossip.
She may not have known absolutely everybody, but she definitely knew something about absolutely everybody. An ultimate connector, a one-woman social medium, the perfect lunch companion and the epitome of so many professional and personal virtues that are now all too rare. We will miss her conversation, her charm and her example.
We are so sorry we can't be there in person to farewell Cath. Much love to family and her all the other friends who will be greatly feeling this loss.

Catherine was such a dynamic and caring person.
In 1985 my aunt was dying of cancer. I was 11 years old. I still remember the warmth and sympathy of the hospitality of the Saunders home (while my Mum visited her sister). RIP Catherine.
Sympathy to Amy, Anthony and all the family on the loss of such a special and pivotal person in your lives.

I worked with Catherine at the Dairy Board in Dominion Road way back in the late 70 s and early 80 s. We launched the " Bigger Block of Cheese" and "Zap" the flavoured milk. She was such an enthusiastic Boss that our team would have walked over hot coals to support her... We would all end up at her home in Parnell with a wine and discuss the worlds woes.
Melissa, Shane and Odin and I all share your sorrows. Such fun memories from our get together with Amy and Anthony...Regards Lesley Madsen

A Super Lovely person to work with. She shared an office where I worked. Was very supportive and excited for me when I dated and then married my wife also named "Catherine". She shared our passion for theatre and I was very grateful for the free tickets to musicals that she'd pass our way. Sad to hear of her passing...Condolences to her family and close friends.

Over many many years I can´t remember a single time when at some point in a conversation Catherine didn´t make me laugh out loud. A terrific talented broadcaster but more importantly a lovely person.

Cathy was a wonderful colleague at DNTV2 in the 1960's. A bubbly, warm, always-smiling person on screen and the same off-screen. Another legend gone from our lives.
