Chris and I were saddened to hear of Peters passing. We were Peter and Inez's neighbors in Browns Lane for 20 years. Known to us all in the street as 'the Judge'' Peter was a fountain of knowledge in all things agricultural to us as fledgling lifestyle blockers. Always good for a chat and once you got past the slightly fierce countenance, a valuable friend and neighbor

Dear Uncle Peter,
I find it difficult to put into words the impact you´ve had on our family and the countless lives you touched during your time as a District Court Judge. Your unwavering commitment to justice, fairness, and steadfastness was an inspiration to us all.
I remember the family visits, the active and rambunctious cousins, listening to your views on life and your love of rugby. I will forever be grateful for the lessons you imparted and the rock solid role model you were for me and my family.
As many gather to celebrate your life, I am reminded of your kindness, your sense of humour, and your love for a good cup of tea. You were more than just an Uncle, you were a massive point of pride for me and our entire family.
Uncle Peter and Aunty Inez were a wonderful and indelible feature of my New Zealand upbringing and in later years, coming over to visit and catch upon the current state of the nation was a real highlight of my trips back to New Zealand!
Rest in peace, Uncle Peter. Your legacy lives on, not only in the legal precedents you set but also in the hearts of those who knew you. Thank you for being a beacon of integrity and compassion.
With love and fond memories,

Warren Goodstone and Family in Athens Georgia
