SCHERER, Peter Julian. On October 17, 2021. A Celebration of Peter's life will be held at the Cottage, Auckland Memorial Park, 2163 East Coast Road, Silverdale on Sunday 12th December at 2PM. I remember fondly my time spent at the NZ Herald to a large degree because of Peter and the editorial management team. When I was struggling after the death in a car crash of my partner the sympathy and compassion extended to me by Peter helped me through one of the worst years of my life. That was 33 years ago and one of the reasons I remained so loyal to the Herald.
Haere e te rangatira, e Peter. Moe mai ra ki to moengaroa.
To the family I extend my deepest sympathy on the loss of a husband, dad, and grandfather.
