THORBURN, Peter Robert Tyler. MNZM. On January 26th 2021 at North Shore Hospital, peacefully after a short illness. Loved husband of the late Jocelyn and of Sarnia, father of Julie and Lee, father-in-law of Sean. He was loved and he will be missed. Special thanks to the staff at Maygrove Hospital and the Doctors and staff Ward 4 at North Shore Hospital. Peter's funeral will be held at 11am on Saturday 30th of January 2021 at North Harbour Stadium. No flowers please.

Uncle Peter was my fathers(Brian Thorburns)older brother they hadn't spoken for many years but I know dad is and was very proud of what Peter had achieved.Myself (Craig Thorburn and my brother Sean Thorburn)have some fantastic memories of uncle Peter when we were younger.We send our condolences to Julie and Lee,may you Rest In Peace uncle Peter .Craig and Sean Thorburn .

THORBURN, Peter. The NSRFC extend our sympathies to Sarnia, Julie, and Lee and family. Peter was a club legend. He played 246 Senior games and captained for 14 years. He will be forever remembered at North Shore.
