Ray was a friend and good colleague of my father... He also became my teacher and helped me greatly at a crisis point in my first steps/missteps into graduate studies.

Best wishes to Chris, Stephen, and their families.

Ray was a loved and respected friend from school to Wairarapa college and then later in Auckland. I have fond memories of him being just across the corridor where he was head of the science lab and I being the head librarian. Love to you and the family, Patricia, from Barbara Graham/Niccol.

Dear Patricia and family, sad to hear of Ralph's passing. I knew him all my life from starting school and then at Wairarapa college where I was head librarian and Ralph was head of the science lab just across the corridor. He was a great friend.
Love Barbara Graham/Niccol.

Professor Ralph was my MSc supervisor at Auckland University. His infectious love of biochemistry and cell biology was passed on to me. I am so grateful to have had his excellent mentorship. I send my sympathies to all his family and friends and especially to Pat his wonderful companion for many years.
