Hello Kim, our very sincere sympathy on your Dad's passing. In an unusual twist we had our past-players day at the Carterton Rugby Club a couple of weeks ago and our old rugby friends, Tom and Veronica Wilkinson, who now live in Otaki came to stay with us for the weekend. Sitting around talking about rugby beginnings, Tom mentioned how he had flatted with Richard and John when he first started playing rugby in Auckland.
We mentioned we had both of them around for a meal at our house when you and Rhys brought the athletic team down to Masterton and how they had recognised us at the funeral of Tom and Veronica's eldest son Shane. I was in Auckland last week and talking to Rhys about the conversation we had - he said that Richard, your Dad, had recently passed away. He was disappointed to have missed his funeral. Tom came over for club rugby again this weekend and I told him about your Dad. He was very shocked and I showed him how to send a message to you. It's a small world Kim and your Dad seems to have been well-respected by those who knew him. Best wishes, Caryl and Karl Taucher.
