Simon PATON Obituary

PATON, Simon Lee (Simon). Born January 27, 1960. Passed away on November 03, 2024, aged 64, from a downhill battle with cancer at Palliser House in Greytown. Much loved partner of Susan and dearly loved brother of Katrina, Tracey, Belinda and nephews Reece and Vaughan. A service will be held for Simon on the 16th of December at Dils Schnapper Rock Road Crematorium in Albany at 2.30pm, to which all family and friends are welcome.

As a colleague of Simon's from 2015 up until his retirement, I had the great privilege to work alongside him. A man of extremely high integrity, he was trusted with some of NZTA's most difficult project management challenges and he held the respect of senior leaders within our organisation and across the NZ construction industry.
It is such a blow to see Simon leave his partner, family and friends so prematurely. I'm sorry for this great loss.
