Sir CUSHING Obituary

CUSHING, Sir Selwyn John, KNZM CMG. Passed away peacefully at his home in Hastings on 10 February 2026, aged 89. Most dearly loved husband of the late Kaye, loved father of David and the late Graham, father in law of Bridget, and special grandfather of Ben and Emma. A private funeral service was held in Havelock North on Thursday 19 February 2026. Messages to The Cushing Family, C/- P O Box 783, Hastings.

I am sorry for the news of Sir Selwyn passed away. We really enjoyed when he visited us in the past with his witty comments. When he came to Antonio Strings to get checkups and adjustments on his Goffriller violin, everyone here had a good laugh with him.

Our love to you all at this sad time. You will miss your dad greatly. Fondest memories of you all in our younger years.
I had a short visit with your dad a year or so ago and shared many happy memories together and a few laughs.
