Susan Patricia KERR

KERR, Susan Patricia (van Royen, Setchell, nee Mills). Peacefully on 5 June 2021 aged 74. A bright star gone too soon. Susan will be sadly missed by so many. She was a loving and devoted wife to Ivan. Treasured and loving mother to Hannah and Madeleine and much loved mother-in-law to Blair and Kevin. One of her greatest joys was her four grandchildren Thomas, Lucy, Freya and Alice. She was a much loved sister of David Mills (UK), niece of Janet Stacey (Perth) and precious daughter of Miriam and Stanley Mills (deceased). Susan lived her life in colour, through music, singing, languages, teaching, writing, genealogy, her friends, her family and her community. Her love and compassion for all people and creatures was experienced by all those around her. She was supported with love and care in her final months at the Home of Compassion in Silverstream, Upper Hutt, in partnership with the Te Omanga Hospice. Thank you to the nurses, carers and support staff who cared for her so sensitively and kindly.
