James William Aonui DENNAN

James DENNAN Obituary

DENNAN, James William Aonui (Jim). Peacefully passed away Saturday 21 May 2016 at Redwood Rest Home and Hospital. Loved son of the late William and Margaret Dennan (England). Loved grandson of Makereti Papakura. A service to celebrate Jim's life will be held at Rotorua Crematorium Chapel,Sala Street on Tuesday 24 May at 11 am, followed by burial at Peka Urupa.

I had the pleasure of being a relief support worker for Jim up in his whare and later in his unit down Lucas Place. Last I saw him he was enjoying life. Sorry to be out of town for the celebration of Jim's life - as colourful as Makareti's. God bless.

I had the honour of meeting Jim some years ago when he gave me a CD of him singing, I play him on my station, Radio Cindy 107.7FM. Here in Rotoua.
He gave me a guided tour of his historic whare, it was a priveledge for me. RIP Jim.
