TAIKATO, Joan Mary (nee Thompson) Kua haere ia ki tōna moenga roa Passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Rotorua on Sunday, 18 May 2025, aged 87 years. Loving companion of Graham Treverton for thirty years and previously loved wife of the late Marsh Taikato. Treasured mother and mother in law of Matira, Lynette, Phillip, Mary, Ngahuia, James and Vikki and their partners. Much loved by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Respected and loved by many she will be deeply missed. Joan is now at Pikirangi Marae, SH30, Rotorua and her nehu/funeral will be held there TODAY Wednesday, 21 May 2025 at 11am. Please send communications to the family at 5 Mokoia Drive, Rotorua 3046.
