Jozsef HORVATH Obituary

HORVATH, Jozsef (Joe). Born May 16, 1934. Passed away on December 20, 2016. Joe died peacefully while taking his last drive around Rotorua, the city he loved. Much loved partner of Yvonne, father of Michele, Donald, Magda, Kate, Polly, Joe, Jonte, Ziggy, Zinka and Grandfather to their children. Joe was an icon of the city and will be greatly missed by all. Joe' funeral service will be held on Friday 23 December 2016, 10.00am at Rotorua Crematorium, 160 Sala Street, Rotorua. Viszontlatasra All correspondence for the family to c/o PO Box 926 Rotorua.

I am sorry to hear of Joe's passing what I remember is, if it was a misty on a gallop morning at the Rotorua Racecourse you would be certain to hear Joe's voice and his hard case laugh as he accompanied his racehorses to the gap on the course proper. He will be missed, Arohanui whanau, he was a legend

R.I.P. Joe, I have fond memories of the best burgers etc from your pie-cart (caravan) back in the 60's & early 70's before you opened shop across from bus station. My condolences to family. Arohanui, Roger Norriss (Gold Coast,Aus)
