We started life together in Scotland in 1987 whilst you were stationed at Faslane whilst in the Navy. We married and had our 2 handsome boys, David & Connor. We bought a farm and renovated it together, but then work in Germany took you from us before you decided to move to New Zealand and met Christina. Her family is feeling what everyone in the UK is feeling now who met and loved you. Rest in peace RS Simon (Lew) Lewis - D202583D. Your watch is over. Stand down sailor. You were never out of out of our hearts despite being so far away from us all. May the stars remind us all of your presence in the future. Love Lyn, David & Connor.

Simon was the most amazing help when I needed to save photos and memories after my own loss, Simon and Christina were lovely to me. They were at my 60th birthday recently, and I am happy to remember them together on that day.

Simon was one of the earliest people I made a genuine connection with after moving to New Zealand 8.5 years ago. I noticed our shared interest in astronomy via the social channels at our work, and from there it just grew. You will be missed big time, but I´m so grateful to have met and known you.
