Alan PRATT Obituary

On 10th March 2026, at Hastings. Aged 78 years. Loved husband of Susan Pratt (nee Walker). Deeply loved father and father-in-law of Andrew and Julia Pratt. Loved pop of his grandchild Oliver Pratt. A special thanks to the staff at Cranford Hospice for all their ongoing care and support. A service for Alan will be held at Havelock North Function Centre, Te Mata Road, Havelock North on Friday, 13th March 2026 at 2:00pm. As a member of the Havelock North I saw quite a lot of Alan either at the Club or walking around the Village and was very sorry to learn of his passing

I'm saddened by the news of Alan's passing. He was my Manager. His quiet and softly, softly leadership approach was the key to my being very successful at achieving and surpassing my work targets. His speech at Russell's and my wedding reception was funny and very much enjoyed by everyone at the reception. I will always remember him as a kind, supportive leader who brought out the best in me. My deepest condolences to Sue and family. Rest in peace Alan.

I am Alan´s accountant and golfing friend. I often bumped into him in the Havelock North cafe´s & restaurants. We also shared a love of running.
Unfortunately I am away so was not able to attend the funeral. Best wishes to the family.
