Our condolences to the family. Alan has been a loyal friend to Bruce for 60 years. Their friendship started in the Boys Brigade in Brooklyn.
Lynnette and Bruce were priviledged to have Alan as Best man at their wedding.
We will miss Alan calling in and telling us his stories of the ships and trains he had been following.
Alan was always talking about his family and of his visits to Ann who he has missed so dearly in the latter years.
His Church was also the centre of his life and his Christain faith was his motivation to live the positive way he managed his life.
Rest peacefully in God's presence Alan
We will remember you with love and thankfullness for your friendship over the years.

To Ann and family. my sympathy and prayers with you in the death of Alan - a great husband, father and friend. He will be missed by many for his reliability, loyalty and compassion. His ceaseless work for and with the Otaki Historical Society over many years marks him off as a true founding member. The severing of deep bonds is not easy! May God be with you all over the coming months and years - blessing you with true faith and wonderful hope in Christ.
Gordon Dempsey.
