Dear Bill and Andy

I wonder if people know that in his youth at Queenstown, Bill was a very promising ski racer and won lots of local ski races. I don't think he skied much after moving to Auckland, but did ski quite a bit in Switzerland during his posting as a diplomat to the NZ Embassy in Geneva.

One Monday, Bill turned up with a badly bruised and cut face. The teacher asked: Were you hit by a metronome?
