Our sincere condolences to Sandra and family on the sudden loss of husband Tony and father of their children. Regrettably we were unaware until informed by a former colleague of Tony.
We had the privilege of knowing Tony from the time he courted and married our late daughter Jane in 1984 and through their twelve years of marriage, both working in DOSLI and LINZ.
Tony was a happy cheerful person, quick with the puns and always supportive of Jane. He was a loved son-in-law and we had many good times together as a family.
Tony and Jane separated in1996 but remained friends until her unexpected death in August 2005 - twenty years ago. We were delighted to know that he had met Sandra and had at last made fatherhood.
It was always our hope to meet up with him again, but never successful in tracking him down. Sadly, we have now.

Tony"s daughter, Lucy, is one of the best people I know. Kind, smart, hilarious. I knew exactly who she got it from. My moments with Tony were short but memorable - he made you feel cared for and you always ended up laughing. I will always be grateful for the love you shared and your impact on Lucy.

Very sad to hear the news of Tony's passing. I worked alongside Tony in our early years at L&S and DOSLI. He made his mark during his time at the Crown Forestry Rental Trust which paved the way for his long-time role at OTS (now Te Tari Whakatau). Tony was fantastic colleague, very reliable and knowledgeable, but above all a very kind person. We remained in contact by phone over the years through our work and he continued to hold my respect for his integrity and commitment. My sincere condolences to Tony's family. Rest in peace Tony.
