Barbara GORST Obituary

Passed away after a courageous battle, on 3rd March, 2026. Adored wife of Trevor. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Beth, Ruth, Tony and Gabrielle, Terry and Christine. Loved Granny to Amanda, Jacob, Tristan, Caroline, Aaron and Anneliese and to her 14 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff at Hastings Hospital and Waiapu House for all the love and ongoing care given to Barbara. A service to celebrate the life of Barbara will be held at St Lukes Church, Havelock North, on Tuesday, 10th March, at 11am. All messages to the Gorst family, posted c/- PO Box 8424, Havelock North, 4157.

Trevor, my heart goes out to you and your family. I found Barbara to be a kind and gentle person, who, like you, was interested in others and their problems. She will be greatly missed. I will definitely include you and your family in my daily prayers. I will ask that he uphold you and give you the strength and guidance needed during this time of great sorrow and grief.
