Barry John RICHARDS

Jane, Amy and Hayden, and Leah and Adam, together with Mary, Robin and Anne, wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks for the love and support given to us during Barry's illness and recent passing. We are so very grateful for the wonderful medical and nursing care Barry received, especially from Dr John Bourke, Dr Kirsten Holst and the team at Star 4, Horowhenua Health Centre; The Community Allied Therapy Team; Lisa and Leigh from HCNZ; and Sam and Julia from the Arohanui Hospice Community Team who gave us the confidence to continue caring for Barry at home as he had wanted. To our extended family and dear friends who supported us by visiting, and staying with us to share the load during our journey, and sustaining us with wonderful food, we are forever grateful. A special thank you to those who attended Barry's celebration of life, especially those who travelled from afar, and to those watching via livestream. Our family are so appreciative of the wonderful meals and baking, and care packages we have received; the cards and beautiful flowers, phone calls and messages; and the koha and donations made to Arohanui Hospice on Barry's behalf. To Gary O'Brien, thank you for your support of our family and ensuring Barry's celebration of life was skillfully delivered. To Michael and Liz, Gemma and the team at Harvey Bowler, thank you all for your exceptional care of Barry, and support and guidance of our family. May this acknowledgement express our family's immense appreciation and heartfelt thanks to you all.
