It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Watson, succumbing to a short illness. A devoted and adored husband to Valerie. They were soulmates and a love story to the end. Proud and loving Dad, granddad, and great-grandad. Brian lived life with passion and spirit. From an early love of motorbikes to the later years spent exploring the beauty of New Zealand in their bus, Brian embraced every moment. His deep affection for dogs and his ability to live life in the present brought joy to all who knew him. A man of integrity, Brian was hardworking, honest, and fiercely loyal. He was a cherished friend with countless stories to tell, and his presence will be deeply missed. As we say goodbye, we know that he rides free now, leaving behind memories that will forever be treasured. Special thanks and appreciation to the staff at McKenzie for their wonderful care to the end. A Memorial Service to celebrate Brian will be held at a later date. I loved getting to know your dad at the Geraldine Farmers Market, Peel Forest Store again as part of the Community Bus. He always had a story to tell and he and your Mum always brightened our day. Our shared love of Schnauzers meant we always had a tale to tell.
Brian will be dearly missed
