Chris was my cricket coach and Geography teacher at Karamu High School. He was inspiring in both roles and I became a Geography teacher myself. In my 30s he followed me up after a marriage break up and was a great support. Later we served together on the Minister of Education's Principals lead Group and we enjoyed some vigorous discussions. We continued to be in contact over coffee and via Christmas cards. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to Lorna and the family. I have always held Chris with the utmost respect.

Condolences to Lorna and all your family at this sad time.
Chris was a significant influence in my life and I am incredibly grateful to him for that.
He was a teacher that had a positive impact for me in sporting and academic achievements that lead to a career in teaching.
He taught me at Karamu HS between 1967 - 1971.
Over the years I have thought of him and the impact he had on me and I'm sure on other people as well.
An amazing man.
Cheers Richard Clare
