Dave was one of my first bosses at BNZ, I think he´d come from Shell. He was the loveliest man and an amazing boss. As a specialist in leadership he lived the talk. I´m so sorry for his family´s loss and hope you travel well over the next few months. It isn´t easy. - Pip x

I first met Dave when he was at BNZ and I was an external consultant. He was kind and generous with his time, providing advice and guidance. We kept in touch for a long time but regretfully not in the last 10 years.
My sincere condolences to Dave´s family.

It has been many years since I went through college with Dave and also shared time together at Miramar Babtist. Dave was a bright student and a kind honest and respectful teenager and young man. My thoughts are with his family at this time.

Every now and again you get into a conversation about who you´ve worked with over the years who made a difference and Dave is always on my list. Such a great manager from back in BNZ days. A strong mentor and supporter, with a great sense of humour. Sending condolences to his family on this sad news.

I collaborated with Dave on software development when he was at MSD and I at IRD. I fondly recall his energy and enthusiasm and noted his interests in watches with unusual large dials. He was fun to work with. He´ll be missed.

Dave was a very good friend in our younger years. Everyone who knew him knew his infectious laughter and great sense of humour. As a bunch of young guys, with my brother Greg and friend Drew and others there were countless times of hilarity and comradery. We all got on well, but Dave stood out as the highly talented and unique personality amongst us. You look back on your latter formative years and feel gratitude for guys like Dave who added great memories into your life through cars, youth groups, events, music and many other things that we all enjoyed or shared together. These threads become a part of the fabric of our lives, despite the passing of time. I express my very deepest sympathies to his family with his untimely passing. "For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come." We will meet again my friend.

Many great memories of Dave. We spent a lot of time together in our teens ... walking to and from Rongotai College each day; listening to Monty Python albums with Him & Wes at my place; Dave playing Elton John on piano at El Ranch Teen Safari ... swimming at Worser Bay ... the list goes on! But most of all, Dave led me through the sinners prayer when I gave my life to Jesus! Missed but not forgotten my brother in Christ.

I worked with Dave at BNZ and remained in touch for quite some time after our respective careers took us in different directions. It's now been many years since we spoke, but I will remember Dave as a talented and passionate leader, often with a unique perspective to throw into the mix. He also had a sharp sense of humour! Rest well Dave; my condolences to all his family.

I worked with Dave for 5 years at BNZ, and later at NZ Milk. He was an inspiring and supportive man whose strong values were always apparent. Great fun to work with, and I always valued his friendship and guidance, although we lost touch in recent years. He often talked about his children who he obviously loved hugely. Sending love and prayers to all the family.
