David HUNT Obituary

Passed away peacefully at North Shore Hospital, Auckland, on 16 October 2025, aged 89. Dearly loved husband of Shirley, loved father and father-in-law of Alison and the late Colin, Malcolm and Sheryl, Graham and Judith, and the late Margaret. Sadly missed by his six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A private family service is being held. All communications c/- Forrest Funeral Services, Orewa.

It is with sadness that I read the passing of David.
David was a very honest and hard working man.
While we worked hard, we also played hard and had lots of laughs over the years working for Wrightson.

David you will be sadly missed, the late Waysy and I used to often talk about the mischief we got up to when you visited Hamilton when on business.

Very sorry to learn of David´s passing. I first knew
David and Shirley when they were transferred to my old home town Southbridge in the early 1960´s and he became my boss at NMA.
Have many good memories of those day´s and will always remember his hearty laugh.
He was always high regarded by everyone he dealt with.
58 years ago next month he & Shirley attended our wedding.
