Kathleen was a very special person, I was lucky enough to meet her at her home shortly before her passing. Even at 97 she had the energy and wit of a young woman. It was a joy to spend time with her and regale with stories of back home in Ireland. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam. Allen Cox

Sincere condolences to you Mike,John, Trish and Ann Marie and all your families on the death of your mother Kathleen. She was just a lovely person and a special auntie. She may have lived a long time in New Zealand but her heart was always in Ireland. She loved to get all the news from her native place and we have great memories of visiting her in Wellington.

To the Whooley extended family...
We are so sorry to learn of Kathleen´s death, she was such a big part of your families and losing her really is the end of an era.
Over the years she seemed ageless, young at heart with a quick and great sense of humour.
We haven´t seen her since her time at Coastal Villas but even then she was a great age and was always keen for a chat.
She will be missed dearly and our sincere and heartfelt condolences to you all.

My heartfelt condolences to the Whooley family on the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Kathleen. Fond memories of their trips to NY. The first in the mid sixties with the whole family again I think in 1989. My brothers and Sonny (Denis) and the Whooley brothers grew up together in Lisheen, Skibbereen. They had a great bond and wonderful memories of simpler times growing up in rural Ireland.
Kathleen and Sonny are now joyfully reunited in heaven with their children and friends. A life well lived and a great legacy. May they rest in heavenly peace
