David Arthur READ

David READ Obituary

Born in Coventry, England, 15th September 1939. Passed peacefully on Wednesday 16th July 2025, at Rangiura Care Home, surrounded by his loving family. Aged 85 years. Beloved husband of Loloma. Treasured father of Simon and Katherine and the late Leilani. Adored Grandad of Tama and Angus. A much loved brother and brother-in-law, and an uncle to many. A Service for David has been held.

A shock to learn of David's passing. A long standing friend since July 1962 when we were co-boarders for a short time in Newtown Wellington. Although we didn't get to meet up very often subsequently until recent years when I passed through Tokoroa briefly en-route by coach to Auckland each December. To Loloma, family and friends, please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I often thought of you both.

We read with huge sadness of David passing recently.
We remember David's gentle, kind & witty manner from your Titahi Bay days.
