David ROBERTSON Obituary
David Baxter (Dave):
Formerly of Edgecumbe. On 26th April 2021 peacefully at his home in Carterton. Dearly loved husband of the late Joan. Father and father-in-law of Martin and Jodie (Upper Hutt), and Helen (England). Grandfather of Jessie, Susan, and Patrick; Rudi, and Elleke Mojel. Great-Grandfather of Rylee and Merekara. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Wairarapa Cancer Society PO Box 121, Masterton 5840 would be appreciated and may be left at the service. A service for Dave will be held in the Richmond Chapel, Richmond Rd, Carterton on Monday 3rd May 2021 at 11.00am followed by private cremation. Messages to the Robertson family C/- P.O. Box 185, Carterton 5743.

As a fellow Edgecumbe Library Volunteer, I wish to forward my deep sympathy to Dave's family. We all loved Dave here in Edgecumbe and his contribution to our Library. His anecdotes, stories, and unfailing sense of humour as well as his strong morals, is always remembered with great fondness. We all missed Dave when he went to live in Carterton, but he was never far from our thoughts. RIP Dave, you were one of our very best.

Dearest David,
You were such a humorous, kind and caring man. Your cheeky wit always left me smiling for the rest of my working day. It was an absolute honour to work along side you every week and for over a year. Thank you for the laughs, the banter and always reminding me to drive safe, but most importantly a friend.. Reunited with your beautiful Joan. My thought and condolences are with your family.
