David WAUGH Obituary
Passed away suddenly on Sunday, 25 May 2025, aged 70 years. Dearly loved husband of Miranda and her whole family. Loving brother of Jan, Brenda, and Bob, and to his late sister Sandra. Much loved father of Sara, Rebecca, Todd, Jarrod, and Jacob. Proud grandfather of Leyton, Kayla, and Riley, and cherished great-grandfather of Kiwa. David was a devoted and honourable member of the New Zealand Police. He was awarded the Medal for Bravery in recognition of his distinguished service. A celebration of David's life will be held in Cornwall Manor, Corner of Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt, on Wednesday, 4 June 2025 at 2.00pm. The service will be live-streamed. I was honoured to be David's friend from the long ago. We met in the seventies and worked together, but then, life got in the way and we lost contact with each other. I will always remember the fun we had and David's sense of justice. " By the still waters his lot is cast". Mt condolences to the family. Travel well my old friend.
