David WILSON Obituary
(Rotary Club of Eastern Hutt, Paul Harris Fellow); On April 8, 2022, peacefully at Hutt Hospital with family at his side, aged 87 years. Dearly loved husband of Margaret. Much loved father and father-in-law of John and Irene (Auckland), Marcus (Upper Hutt). Loved Pop of Rochelle, Michael and Jasmine, and Hannah. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Ruth and Gary Thompson, Paul and Rosemary Wilson. In lieu of flowers donations to an Emergency Response Kit, Rotary New Zealand, bank account 03 1702 0192208 02 would be appreciated – Please put Eastern Hutt Rotary in memory of David Wilson in the subject line. Special thanks to Shona (nurse at Hutt Hospital) and all of the staff at Hutt Hospital for their loving care shown to David and family. A funeral service for David will be held in Knox Presbyterian Church 574 High Street, Lower Hutt, today (Wednesday, April 13, 2022) at 1.00pm, thereafter to the Akatarawa Cemetery. Our sincere condolences to Margaret, John and Marcus and families. Dave, a good "old school" neighbor, kept you up to-date, with what was going on, brought people in the neighborhood together. I will miss the weekend chats over the fence, While you may be gone your memories will live on, may you rest in peace.

Dave was a most wonderful caring dear friend and most dedicated Rotarian who lived by the principal 'Service above Self'. A true and honest gentlman with a beautiful soul. I was blessed and privileged to have him in my life and will forever remember him. A very special person.
